Wyvis House offers a total of 48 bedrooms, 46 single and 2 double, all featuring en-suite shower facilities. Each of our rooms are tastefully decorated and refurbished regularly and have a TV point as well phone points available if required. Wyvis House has Wi-Fi throughout the home.
You are also welcome to bring some of your own furniture, and are encouraged to bring photographs, ornaments and personal items to truly make your room feel like home.
In addition to the comfort of your own room, our excellent lounge and dining areas are delightful to relax in, and our dining areas are perfect to enjoy our home cooked, healthy and nutritious meals and home baking. The dining room has also been known to house private parties for our residents for up to 40 guests such as special birthdays or anniversaries.
There are private lounge facilities on each floor and can be used for birthday parties or family/friend events.
Some of our rooms have warm welcoming views of the Black Isle, Moray Firth, our gardens and the local countryside.
Entertainment
At Wyvis House the entertainment is arranged by our activities co-ordinator, who works with the residents and other staff members to ensure a varied selection of entertainment i.e., groups, singers, musicians, external trips are planned.
All forthcoming events are displayed on the notice board in the reception area. We provide a monthly activity planner and further information can be found in the quarterly newsletter. Wyvis House also has its own cinema room.
Hairdresser
Our resident hairdresser visits the home once a week.
Arrangements can be made if you prefer your own hairdresser.
Local GP
At Wyvis House our local GP practice is located in Dingwall. The staff can call out the local GP at any time during the week, if required. For all emergencies out-with normal working hours, NHS 24 can be contacted.
Nutrition and Special Diets
Our in house chefs have extensive knowledge of our resident’s palates and cater for special diets such as increased fibre, diabetic, healthy options, fortified, textured etc. as and when required.
We offer a seasonal menu with a variety of choice and fresh home bakes and snacks on a daily basis.

A snack menu offering chips, toasties, bacon sandwiches, scotch pie, cheese and biscuits etc. is also available for residents who choose to have a night-time snack in their room.
Other external services
Private chiropody is available at the home.
Routine dental visits are undertaken by the NHS however you are welcome to use dentist of your choice if you prefer.
Routine optician visits are undertaken by and external provider, however you are welcome to use an optician of your choice if you prefer.
